Audits & hardening Kampala, Uganda Nothing on this page is sent anywhere

A digital footprint
is not deleted. It is
found, then closed.

Chan-Piu's security practice starts where an investigation starts — not with what you believe is private, but with what is actually findable. A footprint audit establishes what the internet already holds on a person or a business: the accounts, the reused passwords, the photographs, the registry entries, the breaches. Then it closes what can be closed. This page begins by demonstrating the principle on you.

01 / Fingerprint

You did not log in.
You are still identifiable.

Cookies can be cleared and trackers can be blocked. What follows is neither. Every value below was measured from your own device in the last second, combined into a single number, and kept here. Nothing was requested, and nothing was sent.

Live computation · your device reading…

Your device drew this a moment ago. The drawing instructions were identical for every visitor; the pixels are not. Differences in your graphics hardware, drivers, installed typefaces and anti-aliasing produce a rendering that is measurably yours.

You accepted no banner, granted no permission and typed nothing. Press the button above and see whether the number comes back the same.

Every value here was computed inside your browser and none of it left this page. Run across thousands of sites by an advertising network rather than once by a page trying to make a point, the same technique is how a person is followed without ever being asked — and it is one of the things a footprint audit measures. Separately and openly, as the home page says: this site runs Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, which set their own cookies.

02 / Surfaces

Eight surfaces. Most people
have never checked one.

An audit is not a scan for viruses. It is a search for the places where a life has been indexed. Each of these is a way in, and each one is closable.

Self-audit

Ten questions. Answer them honestly.

Each one maps to a surface above. Your answers stay in this browser — there is no field to type an address into and nothing to submit. At the end you get a reading, and the order to work in.

Two engagements.

CH 01

The footprint audit — for individuals

For people whose name carries weight, or is about to: journalists, producers, executives, candidates, and anyone who has been made uneasy by something they found. The audit establishes what is genuinely findable about you, what an attacker would use first, and what closing it involves. The findings are documented: what is exposed, what it enables, and the order in which to address it. The closing is then carried out alongside you, or left in your hands.

  • Footprint trace
  • Breach exposure
  • Account & device hardening
  • Recovery routes
  • Ongoing review
CH 02

The digital estate — for organisations

Most businesses buy a website from one supplier, social media from another and security from nobody, then discover the three were never the same conversation. Chan-Piu takes them as a single engagement: the site built and hardened, the accounts and access mapped and corrected, the social presence secured and consistent, and the whole thing documented so it survives a change of staff. The six client sites shipped in sixty days were all built this way.

  • Domain & email posture
  • Access & account mapping
  • Social presence
  • Staff exposure
  • AI-readiness
04 / Method

How the work runs.

  1. Trace

Everything reachable from a name, an address and a number, gathered the way someone looking for you would gather it — with open sources, in the order they would use, and without touching anything that is not already public.

  2. Read

What it adds up to. A hundred harmless facts are not a hundred problems; usually three of them matter and the rest are noise. The reading separates the two and says which door opens first.

  3. Close

The accounts retired, the credentials replaced, the second factors moved off SMS, the devices encrypted and updated, the permissions pruned, the old sessions revoked, the registry entries corrected where a registry allows it.

  4. Hold

Security is not a state you reach, it is a thing that decays. You are left knowing what to check, how often, and what a warning actually looks like — so the next review is yours to run and not a repeat purchase.

No engagement here involves accessing an account that is not yours, intercepting anyone's traffic, or acquiring data by any means the person concerned could not use themselves. The value is in knowing where to look and what it means — not in doing anything that would need to be hidden.

05 / Contact

Start with what
is already out there.

Say roughly what has prompted this — something you found, a role that has changed, a business going online properly for the first time — and Chan-Piu will tell you what an audit would cover in your case before either of you commits to anything. Enquiries are answered within a day.
